“Young Performers Certificate” (YPC)
YPC BRONZE K1
Kindergarten

5-8 minute presentation (6-12 in a group)
The first of the Young Performers Certificate level. It is a fun programme that evolves from play.

Children show they are good team members in a short play with song, grouped speech and movement. The children wear costumes and make-up.

YPC SILVER K2
Kindergarten

8–12 minute performance (6-12 in a group)
Group-based presentation with individual/pair/small group contributions

Children are encouraged to take individual as well as group responsibility.

They will act on stage performing a costumed role in the play, singing a song, and chatting to the judge.

YPC GOLD K3
Kindergarten

10–15 minute performance (6-12 in a group)
Children display independence and confidence through individual, pair or small group contributions

This performance is clearly structured and contains some identifiable characters. The children will demonstrate contrasting moods and dynamics within the story as well as talk about the play with the judge.

Trinity Guildhall – Initial to Grade 8
Primary, Secondary, Pre-University
Graded Solo Speech & Drama Exams

Entrants show their ability to give a dramatic performance, demonstrating their spoken interpretation, and their personal presentation skills.

Grades 6 to 8 are accepted by the UK Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) and therefore count as UCAS points for University and Higher Education entry.

Trinity Guildhall qualifications are assessed to the same standards across 60 countries. The assessments are internationally recognised and valued by schools and universities around the world.
