Language Line Limited was launched on 1st August 1994 as a revolutionary new venture that assisted clients with the speedy editing of English text.

Julia Courtenay-Tanner, founder and Managing Director of Language Line, recognised the need to help both individuals and companies with all aspects of written English from greetings messages to annual reports, from charity speeches to educational supplements and from personal and business letters to technical manuals.

Clients were soon sending foreign language documents to Language Line, marking the beginning of our multi-language translation service. Whilst the demand for Chinese translations is the greatest, Language Line also translates European and other Asian languages.

Since our launch, our services have developed significantly. Today, we specialise not only in editing and translation, but also in corporate copywriting, interpretation and transcription services.
