Venture Language Training Limited
was established in Hong Kong in 1986 and specialises in training
people of all levels, ages and backgrounds in every aspect of
the English language.

About Us
In addition to English, VENTURE specialises in Social Etiquette and Theatre Skills, and Speech Training for people of all levels,
ages and backgrounds. VENTURE is an examining centre for the prestigious Trinity Guildhall Speech and Performing Arts exams, Venture
has a team of professional trainers who provide dynamic programmes to both individual and
group tuition. Our teachers provide training for schools and kindergartens, clubs and corporations.
VENTURE's directors, Julia Courtenay-Tanner and Richard Tanner, are English and have lived and worked in Hong Kong since 1985. Julia is a professional language, drama and speech expert who is well known for her students' high successes at the Hong Kong Speech Festival(HKSMSA), and in achieving entry to top schools here, and in the UK and USA. As a writer, Julia has created numerous educational materials, and written short stories that have been published both in Hong Kong and overseas. Richard is a solicitor and senior partner of the Hong Kong law firm, Tanner De Witt. Their four adopted Asian children attended local Chinese schools, which has given the directors both a personal, as well as a professional, understanding of second language acquisition.
VENTURE's commitment to the people of Hong Kong is reflected in our promise to ensure that language learning is an enriching experience for all our students, and that their enhanced language ability gives them the stepping stone to fulfill their potential in all areas of their life.

Venture Successes in 2011
100% of VENTURE students achieved Merit & Honours in the HK Speech and Drama Festival 2011 with 23% receiving 1st place.
Outstanding success in the Trinity Guildhall exams Our students have been accepted into Hong Kong Medical Faculty, Oxford, Cambridge and Ivy League universities Our students have achieved places in top Hong Kong kindergartens, and primary and secondary schools. VENTURE materials are being used throughout India. |
